Propaganda: a double-edged sword?
In Spring 2024 something unprecedented happened. The world's leading purveyors of propaganda (global news agencies) effectively accused another purveyor (the British monarchy) of [er...] lying
Is this a watershed moment? In this digital age of instant access to information, has propaganda become a double-edged sword, something of a liability? What happens when ordinary people are told by authoritative sources not to believe an authoritative source? How will the Doom Cult cope if its ‘trusted’ news initiatives can no longer be trusted?1 Being able to poison the minds of men with twisted facts, after all, has been the MO of the Doom Cult for such a long time that it is hard to imagine how it will adapt to this new reality.
The shocking moment when the world’s major news agencies (Reuters, AP etc) turned on the British Royal family was of course the now infamous March 2024 Mother’s Day photo of Princess Catherine and her children. The agencies said the photo had been manipulated at source and removed it from their archives. The woes of the palace have not got much better since as the rumours continue to whirl around the hapless absent princess.
While some might dismiss this royal fiasco over photos as mere gossip and tittle tattle, others realise that it carries more significance. Why have the world’s news agencies all of a sudden had an outbreak of conscience and a desire to be seen as ‘truthful’? Would a photoshopped royal pic have bothered them in the past? We have to wonder.
A Left-brain World
Certainly there seems to have been something of a curious split along gender lines between those who have taken an interest in this fiasco and those who haven’t [eg the more muted male response: “we men have more important issues to discuss like war and money”?!]. But is this an implicit difference in male and female ways of thinking; an indicator of a left-brain/right-brain split?
According to Dr Iain McGilchrist, the eminent psychiatrist and author,2 it is the left brain that currently dominates Western society. Even though he doesn’t attribute the distinction between the two hemispheres to either male or female genders, he bemoans the dominance of left brain thinking at the expense of the right brain; believing that ultimately our over-reliance on the left hemisphere will eventually lead to the collapse of Western civilisation.
Interestingly, Dr McGilchrist charts this increasing dominance of the left brain from the start of the Enlightenment, from the late C17th/early C18th ….
Which begs the question, would there have been a different outcome if, in 1715, Liebniz had prevailed against Newton? What if the Venetians hadn’t intervened in that row; if Antonio Conti, the Venetian abbot, hadn’t come to London to befriend Sir Isaac Newton? And the Doom Cult hadn’t then been able to mould science to its own agenda, using the might of the growing British empire to spread its influence? Would society today be more balanced, more under the control of the right side of the brain?
Because what is v striking about Dr McGilchrist’s description of left-brain thinking is that it describes the Doom Cult so perfectly.
The essential difference between the two sides of the brain is that the left is focussed, whereas the right is looking at the bigger picture.3 Pigeons, having the same split, emphasise the difference: the left part of the pigeon’s brain is focussed on finding food, while the right part keeps an eye out for predators.
In human terms, the left brain creates a model of the world which is atomistic, utilitarian, reductionist, materialist and effectively dead, alienated from nature; a model in which known facts are fixed, dogmatic and manipulated for control. There is a preference for hierarchy and the loss of individuality at scale. We become more like machines (ie technocracy) as people are isolated, delusional and have have no empathy. There is no awareness of beauty or poetry, or even context.
Trapped in this mindset, I would argue that people also become more vulnerable to propaganda, especially to a form of propaganda based on so-called ‘facts’. Dr McGilchrist himself makes the point that there is a danger of pseudo-science taking hold under left-brain influence, because dissent cannot be tolerated. ‘Facts’ are what matter, regardless of whether or not they are ‘scientific’ or even true.
The usefulness of Propaganda
The First World War was a key moment in history when propaganda was put to the test, and experiments in mass brainwashing were implemented. In September 1914 a secret war propaganda bureau was set up at Wellington House in London. It was here that Edward Bernays worked closely with the owners of the fledgling tabloid newspapers to develop the technique of presenting opinion as fact, with the result that millions of young British men voluntarily signed up to die in a war that they didn’t really understand.
Edward Bernays was of course the nephew of Sigmund Freud and later was credited with being the ‘father’ of the American advertising industry. He even wrote a book called ‘Propaganda’, published in 1928. After WWI Bernays went on to work with the newly established Tavistock Institute in London and it was from here, along with reciprocal institutes in America, that all kinds of mind manipulation programmes evolved, especially after the Second World War.
Few of us have realised to what extent the Doom Cult was behind the creation of much popular culture from the 1950s onwards, deliberately spread through drugs and music.4 The appropriately named ‘Grateful Dead’ is one such example of musician groups. Even music charts were apparently a deliberate way to get us hooked.5 In addition to giving the Doom Cult greater insight into how the mind works (eg the CIA’s MK-ultra experiments), drugs like LSD were useful in pacifying anti-Vietnam protests when those erupted in the 1960s, and given respectability by authors such as Aldous Huxley whose dystopian classic ‘Brave New World’ included a mind-numbing bliss drug he called ‘Soma’.
The 1960s, however, must have been when the Doom Cult decided that ‘flower power’ and tripping out wasn’t enough for warping our minds. A more serious ‘think tank’ type of approach was needed: one that could provide ‘facts’; facts showing that humans are the problem. So, in 1968, they set up the Club of Rome with the express intention of addressing the world ‘problematique’; in other words, the kind of predicaments facing mankind such as discussed in their 1972 ‘Limits to Growth’ report. The world needed better management of the technocratic sort only the Doom Cult could provide.
It was also in 1972 that Maurice Strong (Club of Rome member, Alberta oilman and Rockefeller associate) began the UN’s Environmental Programme, paving the way for environmental concerns to become the pretext for de-industrialisation in order to ‘save the planet’. Twenty years later, in 1992, he succeeded in launching at Rio the Earth Summit’s Agenda 21 which has led on to the more recent UN Sustainable Development Goals, ESGs, Net Zero and Agenda 2030 - which now seems be widened to include a weird wokeness that confuses children about gender. (Quite how woke ‘saves the planet’ is not obvious. But was confusing children always the plan?).
Certainly Net Zero policies have already had the effect of rendering energy supplies increasingly unreliable and expensive as the West attempts to ‘de-carbonise’, culminating in the deliberate destruction in September 2022 of the Nordstream pipeline that supplied Germany with Russian gas - to the delight of German Green party members. De-industrialisation is definitely happening, but only in the West. So, at this rate at least the Western half of the planet will be ‘saved’.
Meanwhile a spider at the centre of the web has been growing in strength since the early 1970s, the World Economic Forum set up by Klaus Schwab in 1971. Schwab acknowledges both Maurice Strong and Henry Kissinger - who he met at Harvard in 1967 - as his mentors. Since the 1970s WEF has been constantly trying to terraform our minds to make us accept a form of neo-feudalism (called ‘stakeholder capitalism’) in which we will all own nothing and be happy.
WEF’s participation in Bill Gates’ pre-pandemic exercise Event 201 in October 2019 suggests that the WEF considers itself to have a co-ordinating role. We are meant to agree with Klaus Schwab that there is an inevitability about the Fourth Industrial Revolution; that it was just ‘bad luck’ that a pandemic happened in 2020, forcing the world economy to close down; but what a coincidence, the WEF can guide us to ‘build back better’ with the help of technology.
The Green Agenda, a cruel form of propaganda, has infected the minds of millions. Successfully guilt-tripping so many good people who all want the best for the planet. Instead, without realising it, they are acquiescing in the Doom Cult’s plan for us to have a cold, poor future under constant surveillance .
So, what has changed?
And what is the relevance of a disappearing princess in the Spring of 2024?
We are, after all, still being bombarded with pseudo-science - ie the delusion that there is a climate emergency and that humans are killing the planet. We still have to put up with the insanity of Net Zero, in spite of genuine science explaining that carbon has zero effect on climate. The false Malthusian narrative about over-population and decline in food supplies continues to be trotted out,6 even though that was actually Venetian propaganda from 1790. It didn’t originate with the Rev Thomas Malthus.
And yet cracks are appearing. The once solid monolith that was behind the official face of propaganda doesn’t seem quite so solid now.
For more than 300 years the British monarchy was at the head of the imperialist drive to conquer the world - no doubt with the support of the Venetians behind the scenes. News media v much played its part too (viz the role of the tabloids during WWI).
In more modern times, as imperialism morphed into globalism, the British royal family continued to be an important presence. Queen Elizabeth II honoured both Henry Kissinger and Klaus Schwab with honorary knighthoods (KCMG): Kissinger in June 1995 and Schwab in 2006. In June 2020 it was Prince Charles who gave the opening speech at the launch event of the WEF’s ‘Great Reset’ following the pandemic. His son, Prince William, having first appeared at WEF’s Davos annual meeting in 2019, then launched his ‘Earthshot’ prize to promote sustainability the following year, in collaboration with leading environmentalist Sir David Attenborough. No one can question the royal family’s commitment to ‘talking the talk’.
So why is the royal family being abandoned now? At a time when it most needs protection from the prying eyes of the public and the support of the press in guarding its privacy?
There is clearly something v amiss. Princess Catherine has not been seen in public since Christmas last year. She wasn’t seen arriving or leaving the clinic in London where she allegedly had surgery; unlike her father-in-law King Charles III who waved at photographers as he also came and went for treatment. Princess Catherine’s long and badly explained absence almost suggests the need for issuing the ancient writ of habeas corpus which goes back to at least Magna Carta in the C13th and was later ratified in Acts of Parliament in the C17th. The modern equivalent, a video released on 22nd March 2024,7 does not, however, satisfy the need for her to be seen. On the contrary, this video is in danger of deepening the mystery. It does not inspire confidence.
Personally I would prefer to believe that Princess Catherine is alive and well, and that the entire video in which she speaks of cancer treatment is a fake from beginning to end. And there are sufficient grounds to doubt the veracity of the video. We are supposed to believe that someone who is in recovery from having had surgery would sit outside in an English Spring garden without a coat, on a bench so shiny that it reflects the 7-year old stripey top she is wearing. Luckily there is no breeze because the daffodils in the background do not move; but then neither does her left eyebrow…
If I am correct, then the public are getting a major introduction to deep fakes and the ability to reproduce convincing-enough voice and AI generated biometrics. So far only Getty Images have put out an editor’s note stating that the video ‘may not adhere to its editorial policy’ and that the clip was provided by a ‘third party organization’; the third party in this instance being the ‘trustworthy’ BBC.8
A sinking ship?
With the British royal family clearly in a shambles, has the Doom Cult finally abandoned it after more than 300 years or so? Has it served its purpose and is no longer useful?
Indeed, is Britain the country of less interest to the Doom Cult? After all, Britannia no longer rules the waves. The Royal Navy is a shadow of its former self and cannot keep major waterways open, even alongside the US navy, as evidenced by Houthi activity in the Gulf of Aden. With the Suez Canal effectively closed to the West, Britain and other Western countries are forced back to a time in maritime trade before the canal opened in 1869. So much for progress…
Perhaps it isn’t just the royal family that is in shambles, but the Doom Cult as well? The WEF’s ‘Great Reset’ has certainly triggered a ‘Great Awakening’. People everywhere are rejecting all aspects of the agendas. Not surprisingly, comments are turned off on all the videos on the WEF’s YouTube page. The narrative is crumbling, in spite of all the decades of careful work to fool people. Back in August 2023 Lyn Forester Rothschild went so far as to suggest that ESGs should be abandoned in favour of ‘inclusive capitalism’ because she admitted that ESGs had fallen out of favour.9 They know that a backlash is happening.
These are dangerous times for the Doom Cult. A failure of propaganda is worse than no news at all. Once the public realises it has been duped, how can anyone ever trust the propaganda again, with or without a princess and no matter how clever it is?
BBC's Trusted News Initiative is one example of the global effort to corral official support for suppressing dissent. The BBC and others were able to use the cover of the pandemic to justify their witch hunts of alternative views.

There also is a curious undertone buried in language that we are not necessarily aware of. The way the split works is that the left-brain influences the right hand and vice versa. It is noticeable that we value the right hand more: our word ‘dexterous’ means ‘right’ in Latin. The Latin for ‘left’, however, is our word ‘sinister’ which came into English via Anglo-Norman.

It is perhaps no coincidence that one of the most evil predators to ever exist, Jimmy Savile, came through this route.
In September 2023 Bloomberg reported: Flood of Russian Wheat Halves World Prices From Wartime High; and in March 2024 Bloomberg reported that China had cancelled the most US wheat contracts since 1999: China Has Never Canceled This Many Shipments of US Wheat. Doesn’t exactly sound like global shortage.
